Diamanda Galás torna in Italia con tre concerti speciali e apre il tour il 23 settembre 2026 a Trento, all’Auditorium Santa Chiara.
Cantante d’avanguardia, compositrice e pianista, Diamanda Galás è una delle figure più radicali e visionarie della musica contemporanea. Il suo lavoro attraversa generi e linguaggi, fondendo tradizione classica, jazz sperimentale, influenze gospel e una ricerca vocale estrema che l’ha resa unica nel panorama internazionale.
Artista precoce, si esibisce già a quattordici anni come pianista solista con la San Diego Symphony Orchestra, per poi collaborare con importanti esponenti della scena jazz d’avanguardia statunitense. Dal debutto nel 1979, ha costruito una carriera caratterizzata da performance intense, politicamente incisive e di grande forza espressiva.
Le sue recenti pubblicazioni, insieme ai progetti dal vivo e installativi, confermano la sua capacità di ridefinire continuamente i confini della musica e della performance.
Il concerto di Trento rappresenta un’occasione unica per assistere dal vivo a un’artista che ha fatto della ricerca e dell’intensità emotiva il centro del proprio linguaggio.
